Hi, I’m Mel Cruz. I always get that a lot, being asked what’s my gender. I have a daughter and I’m a Make-Up Artist by profession since 2008. Which makes me an MUA for 12 years.
In 2011 I studied to become a Hairstylist; Eyebrow Embroidery and Eyelash Lift Artist in 2017.
My weekdays are usually booked for Prenup or Microblading. If I’m not on the laptop responding to inquiries, preparing contracts, I’m cleaning & sanitizing my brushes and tools in between. Then come Fridays, boom. That’s where all the fun begins- up to Sundays. If call time is at 6am, I’m up and about by 3 so I can leave by 4:30 in the morning. If client prefers to have the make-up session at my studio, which is at my residence, lucky me, because I can still accommodate another client in the afternoon. If she’s a Bride, sorry ‘coz I’m hers the whole day. Saturday evenings are strictly family time for anticipated mass and malling.
I love what I do. I once posted on FB that I’m never gonna go back to the corporate world with a photo of me at a shoot by the poolside in my jeans and slides. In this industry the clients are all nice and very expressive in their appreciation. They treat you like family that’s why in return, I deliver the best of service.
